Endemic Fauna Species 

Blue Footed Booby: This species of bird is located in the Galapagos Archipelago, its blue legs are very characteristic and that is where its name comes from. They get to live approximately 17 years. These species are very agile and strong in the air, they usually look for food in groups of up to 200 individuals and are excellent hunters.

Tortugas Gigantes de Galápagos: This specie of turtle is the largest in the world, its shells can reach 1.5 meters long and can weigh to 300kg or more. They usually live more than 100 years. Depending on their type of shell, there are 10 types of turtles of this species. These turtles are very beautiful, resourceful and able to adapt quickly.
 
Mono Capuchino: They are considered the smartest monkeys in the new world for their ability to use tools like stone to solve problems. They are small in size since they measure from 30 to 60 cm long and their tail measures the same as their body. They are very cute, agile and skillful.

Oso de Anteojos: It is the only species of bear in South America. It is omnivorous and its diet is based on fruits, vegetables and meat. They get to measure between 1.5 and 2 meters and weigh up to 175kg. This bear specie is very cute, it has daytime and nighttime habits at the same time, but it is a solitary bear.

Endemic Flora Species 

Dracula Vampira:  It is also known as Orquídea del Dragón. It is located on the slopes of the Pichincha Volcano. This plant has large flowers with white petals and large leaves that can reach up to 28 centimeters long.


Gentianella jamesonii: Attractive bell-shaped flowers, located on the western slopes of the Atacazo and Pichincha volcanoes, in the western mountain range in northern Ecuador.
